                                                When: September 25th 8:00am – 12:30pm

What: Quantum entanglement is a physical phenomenon occurring when a group of particles interact. An apt metaphor for bringing together the DOE, UWYO, IBM Research, VC’s and entrepreneurs.
Emergence occurs when the group is observed to have properties its parts do not have on their own.

Why: We anticipate important economic IMPACT could occur in the Quantum Corridor’s future by bringing together this disparate group of Thought Leaders.

Where: University of Wyoming Gateway Center; 222 S 22nd St, Laramie, WY 82070 Livestreaming into our Virtual Reality 2D/3D environment accessible worldwide via VR Headset or HTML5 browser.

How could innovation hubs along the Quantum Corridor increase resilience and sustainability?

In close proximity to what is dubbed the Quantum Corridor—from Wyoming to Arizona—DOE has four major labs with tech transfer opportunities they aim to commercialize.

To successfully shift economies over time we need committed stakeholders. Toward that end Governor Mark Gordon, UWYO President Ed Seidel, UWYO CS Dean Cam Wright, DOE Under Secretary Paul Dabbar, DOE Chief Commercialization Officer Conner Prochaska, Head of IBM research Dr. Dario Gil, IOHK CEO Charles Hoskinson, Venture Capitalists Tim Draper and Marten Lai and guests will explore requirements for technology commercialization, enhancing computer science research in AI/ML, cybersecurity as well as quantum and super-computing in this forward-looking conversation.
Format: A moderated discussion inviting each participant to share their unique point of view, vision, possibilities, hurdles and challenges from their individual experiences and past projects. Moderator: Chris J. Snook, LODE
